Developer Dream Dock has revealed Dreadmoor, an upcoming first-person action-adventure game drawing inspiration from 2023's acclaimed Dredge. Players will captain a fishing trawler through dangerous waters, battling monsters while uncovering secrets in the post-apocalyptic Drownlands. Currently in development for PC, the game combines survival mechanics with deep-sea exploration and crafting systems.
Dream Dock describes Dreadmoor's setting: "Take command of your fishing vessel in a world forever changed by nuclear devastation. With continents swallowed by rising oceans, only scattered islands and submerged ruins remain. Trade your catches with desperate survivors, complete missions, and upgrade your boat to brave increasingly dangerous waters. Be warned—the creatures in your hold might turn on each other! Specialized equipment lets you plumb the depths for secrets, but deadly mutants and ominous mysteries await in sunken wreckage, particularly when darkness falls.
