Service de fin de Multiversus en mai: annonce officielle

Le joueur First Games a annoncé la fermeture à venir de Multiversus, son combattant de la plate-forme Warner Bros. La saison 5, lancé le 4 février 2025, sera la dernière du jeu, terminera le 30 mai 2025, à 9 h PST. Le studio a détaillé l'arrêt dans un article de blog .

Le jeu en ligne cessera le 30 mai, mais l'accès hors ligne au contenu acheté et gagné restera disponible via les modes locaux et de formation. L'équipe de Multiversus a exprimé sa gratitude aux joueurs et aux supporters dans un communiqué.

Les transactions en argent réel sont interrompues, avec effet immédiat. Cependant, les jetons de Gleamium et de caractère peuvent toujours être utilisés jusqu'au 30 mai. Le jeu sera radié de la boutique PlayStation, Microsoft Store, Steam et Epic Games Store simultanément.

La fermeture de Multiversus suit les rapports de sa sous-performance pour Warner Bros. Discovery, ce qui a entraîné un avertissement significatif de 100 millions de dollars, contribuant à un total de 300 millions de dollars plus grand pour le secteur des jeux. Cette nouvelle fait suite au départ des jeux de Warner Bros. David Haddad.

"Nous avons pris un autre 100 millions de dollars plus une déficience en raison des versions sous-performantes, principalement de Multiversus ce trimestre, portant le début du début du début de l'année à plus de 300 millions de dollars dans notre entreprise de jeux, un facteur clé de la baisse des bénéfices du studio de cette année", a déclaré le chef Financial Officier Gunnar Wiedenfels lors d'un appel financier de novembre.

Malgré la fermeture, la saison 5 présentera de nouveaux contenus, y compris les personnages jouables Lola Bunny (déverrouillable via Daily Calendar) et Aquaman (disponible via le Pass Battle). Les deux débuts la semaine prochaine.
