Un ancien employé de Repawn Entertainment a révélé sur son profil LinkedIn qu'un projet inopiné avait été annulé cette semaine après des années de développement. Aucune raison officielle de l'annulation n'a été donnée.

L'année dernière, le journaliste Jeff Grubb a rapporté que le projet n'était pas une entrée principale Titanfall , excluant Titanfall 3 . RAPAWN a réuni une «équipe expérimentale» dédiée de spécialistes de tir multijoueurs pour son développement.

Ce n'est pas le premier projet de réapparition à être annulé. Un tireur d'arcade a nommé Titanfall Legends a été fermé l'année dernière.

La série Titanfall est célébrée pour son mélange unique d'action rapide et de combat de mech, permettant aux joueurs de se battre en pilotes agiles ou des titans puissants. Depuis ses débuts en 2014, la franchise a suscité un suivi important grâce à son gameplay innovant combinant le parkour et les batailles d'équipe dynamique.

Respawn se concentre actuellement sur Star Wars Jedi: Survivor et un nouveau jeu de stratégie Star Wars inopiné développé en collaboration avec Bit Reactor.
