Just one month after its release and Game Pass debut, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios released a new trailer celebrating Avowed. The video highlights the overwhelmingly positive critical reception of the action-RPG, showcasing select reviews and quotes from gaming journalists.
This latest update introduces DLSS 4 support, including Multi-Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These advancements significantly boost performance; NVIDIA showcased up to a three-fold increase in frame rates at maximum 4K settings, reaching an impressive 340 FPS. The developers also hinted at upcoming announcements regarding future game support and a content roadmap in the coming weeks.
Beyond the technical enhancements, this update also improves the player experience. Players now earn an extra talent point every five levels, with retroactive awards automatically granted to existing players upon game launch. Keyboard and mouse users gain the ability to toggle between walking and running, and a new accessibility feature allows for increased font sizes in in-game text, documents, and guides.
While Avowed didn't achieve universal, speechless praise, it still garnered overwhelmingly strong reviews. Digital Foundry even lauded the game as a technical "triumph," further cementing its reputation as a remarkable achievement from Obsidian.
