Stellar Mercenaries has just received a major content upgrade, taking the conflict directly to the solar system's largest planet. What's New in the Stellar Mercenaries Jupiter Expansion?
The expansion transforms Jupiter and its notorious moons—Ganymede, Io, and Europa—into intense battlegrounds. Each location presents distinct environmental challenges. Ganymede is a desolate wasteland, Io is blanketed in volcanic ash, and Europa is a treacherous, frozen landscape. Jupiter itself is a planet-wide maelstrom of violent storms.
Players will also encounter two new warring factions. The Jovian Empire is a disciplined military power seeking to impose its control over the region, while the Pirate Council is a chaotic band of outlaws.
This expansion injects 50 new missions into Stellar Mercenaries, featuring objectives like hyperspace hunting—where you pursue elusive targets—piracy operations, escort duties, and even missions defending vital convoys.
A fleet of six new ships joins the roster: the Raider, Goblin, Mako, Boxer, Lightning, and Skybreaker. The arsenal is also expanded with powerful new weapons, including the Hyper Velocity Mortar, Plasma Seeker, EMP Rockets, Mauler Cannon, Electron Beam, and Neutron Beam.

New Hazards, Shield Systems, and Additional Features
The update introduces advanced Tier 4 shields and armor to help you survive new environmental dangers like dense asteroid fields, elite enemy squadrons, and the formidable Pacifier defense system. Enemy mercenaries have also grown more powerful, with new classes such as Nightmare, Riot, and Warhawk.
