Monster Hunter Now Season 7 Debuts Exploration Base

Niantic's next major update for Monster Hunter Now is Season 7: Advent of the Exploration Base. Launching on September 18, 2025, this official fall season introduces new monsters, the full release of exploration bases, enhanced style customization, and new armor skills.

The monster roster is getting bigger

Espinas, Garangolm, and Lunagaron join the hunt at the season's start. Then, on September 22nd, Riftborne Deviljho arrives as a new riftborne monster, and its weapons will also become eligible for style customization.

Speaking of customization, the style options introduced in Season 6 are receiving an overhaul. Parameters will now increase more significantly with each level, allowing customized weapons to match the strength of the game's most powerful equipment.

Exploration bases, previously in beta testing, will go live for all players in Season 7. Connected to local landmarks, these bases grow stronger through player cooperation, functioning similarly to PokéStops in Pokémon GO.

New armor sets for Espinas, Garangolm, and Lunagaron introduce six new skills. Pursuit increases damage when breaking a monster part for the first time, while Ballistics extends the critical range for arrows and ammo.

Reckless boosts damage at the cost of disabling perfect evades, and Guard Up allows you to block normally unblockable attacks. Lastly, Vital Fire and Vital Ice increase elemental values based on your remaining health.

Another major addition is selectable monster groups

You will now be able to choose which groups of monsters appear in your area. The developers are also easing weapon progression; starting in Season 7, forging and upgrading most weapons will require fewer materials.
