ViVa Games has just launched its most ambitious expansion to date for the 2D cross-platform MMORPG, Kakele. The 2025.1 update, titled 'The Continent of Gangan,' introduces sweeping changes to nearly every system in Kakele Online.

Gangan is a storm-battered archipelago steeped in the game's lore. Designed as an endgame zone, it poses a severe challenge to seasoned players with its perilous creatures. Adventurers can pursue legendary gear and uncover a deep narrative centered on the Masters of Energy.
This update rolls out several new gameplay systems, including an additional backpack equipment slot. It also debuts a Prey mechanic, granting experience and combat stat bonuses against rotating targets. A new Bosstiary now tracks your legendary kills and rewards you with permanent character buffs.
Meanwhile, the Temple District has received a complete visual makeover. It now features a new tavern hub for socializing, trading, and minigames. A fresh side quest beneath the cathedral, focusing on Saint Mardi, lays the groundwork for future story developments.
Spellcasting now accounts for enemy resistance stats, and players can enter instanced dungeons—even those marked for PvP. Buffs granted by mounts or fortresses can now be dispelled. Pets earn experience simply by fighting at your side, and you can now bring two companions into battle simultaneously!

The Update Also Ushers in Global Events 2.0
The developers have overhauled the Fortress War system with matchmaking brackets and server-wide rewards for the victorious teams. This transforms previously chaotic open-world skirmishes into more structured and meaningful events.
In tandem, ViVa Games has deployed new security measures. These include machine learning-powered anti-cheat tools and more aggressive chat moderation filters to curb toxic behavior.
