Marvel Rivals Balances Gameplay in Season 1

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Dracula, Fantastic Four, and Major Balancing Changes

Marvel Rivals' Season 1, "Eternal Night Falls," launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, promises a major update with Dracula as the primary antagonist and the addition of the Fantastic Four. The season's battle pass, priced at $10 (990 Lattice), offers 10 skins and rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion.

This first season introduces three new maps and a fresh game mode, "Doom Match." Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman join the playable roster immediately, followed by Human Torch and The Thing six to seven weeks later.

A developer update highlights significant balancing adjustments. Hela and Hawkeye, deemed overpowered in Season 0, receive nerfs, addressing their frequent bans in high-level matches. Conversely, mobility-focused Vanguards like Captain America and Venom receive buffs to enhance their effectiveness.

Further balance tweaks include buffs for Wolverine and Storm, encouraging more strategic use of these mutants. Cloak and Dagger also receive enhancements to improve their team compatibility. Adjustments are planned for Jeff the Land Shark, addressing inconsistencies between his early warning and ultimate ability hitbox. While his ultimate's power has been a point of discussion, no major changes have been announced for it.

While NetEase Games remained silent on adjustments to the Seasonal Bonus feature—a point of contention among players—Season 1 promises substantial new content and gameplay changes. The anticipation among players for the new season is palpable.
