How To Fix ‘Mission Not Complete’ in Ready or Not

So, you aced that Ready or Not mission – neutralized threats, rescued hostages, the works. But then, that dreaded "Mission Not Complete" message pops up. Frustrating, right? Let's troubleshoot this.

1. Objective Double-Check: Did You Really Do Everything?

Ready Or Not Mission Complete Vote Screen

Before you rage-quit, meticulously review your objectives. Sometimes, the game's definition of "complete" is stricter than yours. Even if you think you're done, a single missed step can trigger this error. Remember, you can still vote to end the mission even if some things are left undone.

How to Check:

Hit Tab to open the mission menu. Scrutinize that objective list. Anything red or marked incomplete? That's your culprit. Common oversights include:

  • Reporting Downed Suspects/Civilians: Incapacitated or killed? You must report them (default F key). This applies to civilians, too.
  • Securing Evidence: Weapons, bombs – grab everything! A dropped gun means you need to pick it up.
  • Optional Objectives: Some missions have bonus tasks (disabling security systems, etc.). These often impact mission completion.
  • Hostage Safety: Make absolutely sure all hostages are safely rescued and untied.

Fix: Meticulously retrace your steps. Did you miss anything?

2. The Multiplayer Vote-to-End Snag

Ready Or Not Vote to End Mission Screen

This is a common source of frustration in co-op. Every player needs to vote to end the mission. One missed vote equals a "Mission Not Complete" failure.

How to Fix:

Ensure all players press Y (default) when the vote prompt appears. Use voice or text chat to remind anyone who might have missed it. If a player is AFK, you might need to wait or remove them from the session. If the vote screen isn't showing for some players, try restarting the mission. 3. Those Pesky Objective Bugs

Sometimes, despite your best efforts, the game glitches.

Common Bugs:

  • The game might not register secured weapons.
  • A rescued hostage might not be counted as such.
  • An objective remains incomplete even when the requirements are met.

How to Fix:

Restart the mission. In multiplayer, try switching hosts; objective registration can vary between players. Verify your game files (Steam > Right-click Ready or Not > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files). This checks for corrupted files.

The "Restart and Pray" Method

If all else fails, a mission restart is your last resort. While not ideal, it's a common workaround for Ready or Not's ongoing development. Persistent mission completion bugs often yield to a simple restart.
