Rainbow Six Siege X: what was presented in Atlanta

Rainbow Six Siege, celebrating its tenth anniversary, is embarking on a significant evolution with Siege X. Announced today, Siege X represents a transformative update akin to CS2's impact on CS:GO. Launching June 10th, this update also marks the game's transition to a free-to-play model.

Key Changes in Siege X:

  • New Mode: Dual Front: Experience a thrilling 6v6 format blending attack and defense operators. Capture enemy zones and plant sabotage devices across a map divided into three zones per team and a central neutral area. Respawn after a 30-second delay.
  • Advanced Rappel System: Utilize ropes for both vertical and horizontal traversal, opening up new strategic possibilities.
  • Increased Environmental Destruction: Expect enhanced destructibility, with elements like fire extinguishers and gas pipes becoming exploitable tactical assets.
  • Five Map Reworks: Popular maps receive major overhauls, promising refreshed gameplay experiences.
  • Graphical & Audio Enhancements: Prepare for a significant visual and auditory upgrade, immersing players in a richer and more detailed world.
  • Improved Anti-Cheat & Toxicity Measures: Ubisoft is committed to enhancing its anti-cheat systems and fostering a more positive community environment.

A closed beta will be available within the next seven days for viewers of Rainbow Six Siege streams.
