Solasta 2: Demo Unveils Innovative Turn-Based Combat

Tactical Adventures has released a free demo for their upcoming turn-based tactical RPG, Solasta 2, set within the Dungeons & Dragons universe. This eagerly anticipated sequel to Solasta: Crown of the Magister invites players to create a party of four heroes and journey through the land of Neokhos, facing an ancient evil while striving for redemption. The game emphasizes player agency, with choices significantly impacting the narrative and overall experience.

The demo faithfully replicates core elements from the original Solasta, including tactical turn-based combat, extensive character customization, and rich interactions with non-player characters (NPCs). A helpful addition for new players is the default "Helpful Dice" feature, mitigating frustrating streaks of bad luck. This feature can be disabled for those seeking a more challenging experience. Strategic use of the environment is key to success in combat, adding another layer of tactical depth.

Players can enjoy the demo solo or engage in cooperative multiplayer, similar to the mechanics found in Divinity: Original Sin. The demo offers a taste of the diverse class-based challenges and encounters that await in the full game. Tactical Adventures is actively seeking player feedback to further refine and polish the final release.

The system requirements are relatively modest. For optimal performance, a minimum of an Intel Core i5-8400 CPU, 16 GB of RAM, and either an NVIDIA GTX 1060 or AMD RX 580 GPU is recommended.
