While not planning to ban add-ons entirely, Hazzikostas mentioned a future where some of the more advanced combat functionalities might be restricted to encourage more direct player engagement with the game's mechanics.

High-level raiders, who often rely on add-ons like WeakAuras for real-time problem-solving in raid encounters, may see changes in how encounters are designed. Hazzikostas admitted that past encounter designs might have inadvertently pushed players towards using add-ons, and moving forward, the team aims to create more varied and engaging challenges that don't require such tools.
