Four Playable Classes

At the start of Fear and Hunger, choose from four distinct classes: Mercenary, Knight, Dark Priest, and Outlander, each with unique backgrounds, skills, motivations, and challenges. While you begin with one character, the game allows you to recruit others within the catacombs as you progress. To truly conquer the game, recruiting all available characters is essential.

A Perilous Dungeon

Fear and Hunger's notorious difficulty is a key feature. Your first playthrough might last less than five minutes, ending in your character's demise. Many players perish before even reaching the catacombs. Every encounter is potentially lethal. Crucially, you gain no experience or gold from defeating enemies; fighting offers only injury and infection. Embrace death as an integral part of the gameplay.
