Près de trois décennies après sa sortie en salles, le film culte de Paul W.S. Anderson, Event Horizon, va recevoir une préquelle. IDW Publishing annonce Event Horizon : Dark Descent, une série de comics en cinq numéros qui explore l'histoire inédite précédant le film tout en révélant le sort mystérieux de l'équipage original du vaisseau spatial.

La série est écrite par Christian Ward (Batman : City of Madness) et illustrée par Tristan Jones (Aliens : Defiance), avec les couleurs de Pip Martin (That Texas Blood) et des couvertures variantes par Ward, Jeffrey Alan Love, Martin Simmonds et Joshua Hixson.
