Atomfall Shows Off Gameplay Ahead of March Release

Atomfall: A New Gameplay Trailer Unveils Post-Apocalyptic England

Rebellion Developments, renowned for the Sniper Elite series, ventures into new territory with Atomfall, a first-person survival game set in a 1960s alternate England devastated by nuclear war. The recently released gameplay trailer offers a compelling glimpse into the game's world and mechanics.

Initially revealed during Xbox's Summer Game Fest showcase, Atomfall initially flew under the radar amidst other major announcements. However, its intriguing premise and day-one Game Pass inclusion quickly garnered attention.

A seven-minute narrated gameplay trailer provides a comprehensive look at Atomfall's core features. The game casts players into a post-apocalyptic landscape, reminiscent of titles like Fallout and STALKER. Exploration will encompass quarantine zones, villages, and research bunkers, demanding resourcefulness to survive encounters with robots, cultists, and hazardous environments.

The trailer showcases a range of weaponry, including melee (cricket bat) and ranged options (revolver, shotgun, bolt-action rifle). While the initial arsenal appears modest, the trailer highlights weapon upgrade systems and hints at a broader selection to discover. Crafting plays a significant role, allowing players to create healing items and combat tools such as Molotov cocktails and sticky bombs. A metal detector aids in locating valuable supplies and crafting materials. Furthermore, players can unlock skills across four categories: melee, ranged combat, survival, and conditioning, enhancing their capabilities through training manuals.

Atomfall launches March 27th on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass immediately. Rebellion plans to release another in-depth video soon, promising further details for eager fans. Keep an eye on Rebellion's social media for updates.
