Don't Nod, the French studio behind Life is Strange, has launched the first part of their new narrative adventure game. Players can now experience "Tape 1," with "Tape 2" releasing free to all owners on April 15th.
Initially unveiled in 2023, the game centers on a close group of friends shattered during the summer of 1995. Twenty-seven years later, the events of that summer resurface, unleashing unforeseen and terrifying consequences.
Blending nostalgic charm with psychological thriller elements, the game draws inspiration from titles like It, Yellowjackets, and I Know What You Did Last Summer. The game is structured in two parts: "Bloom" and "Rage." Currently, only "Bloom," the first half, is available (as of February 18th).
"The Tape," the second part, will debut on April 15th. Its release was delayed from March to allow for further refinement.
The review embargo has ended, and OpenCritic shows an average score of 74/100, suggesting a promising start for this suspenseful mystery.
