Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor: A 2025 Roadmap of New Content and Features
Get ready for a thrilling year of Hearthstone! 2025 promises a whirlwind of surprises, innovative gameplay, and exciting new features. The usual lineup of expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons are on the way, building on the positive reception to the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set. Blizzard has even unveiled a roadmap offering a glimpse into the game's near future.
What's New in the Year of the Raptor?
A major highlight is the long-awaited Arena revamp. In development since last year, this update promises a revitalized Arena experience for both veterans and newcomers.
Cosmetics are also receiving a significant upgrade. Expect new Mythic skins and Signature cards, along with a brand-new addition: Pets! These adorable companions will be integrated into a new cosmetic acquisition system, though details remain scarce for now.
The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the "Into the Emerald Dream" expansion. Card reveals start next week, but in-game celebrations are already underway. Complete the Event Track to earn rewards including The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a Raptor Herald card.

The expansion also introduces a dynamic new game board, the Year of the Raptor board, which will remain throughout the year, receiving visual and audio updates with each subsequent expansion.
