Thirteen - Tien Len Mien Nam (TLMN) is a free-to-play card game designed for four players. Experience the thrill of classic Vietnamese card strategy with Thirteen Cards (13 Cards, TLMN), a beloved game across Asia that delivers fun, excitement, and strategic depth in every round.

In Tien Len Mien Nam, the goal is simple: be the first player to get rid of all your cards. Outsmart your opponents, time your moves wisely, and race to victory in this fast-paced, engaging card battle.

HOW TO PLAY:

At the start of each game, every player is dealt 13 cards. The player holding the Spade 3 begins the first round. In subsequent games, the winner of the previous round starts with any valid card set.

Players take turns playing a higher-ranking card set or choosing to Pass. Once a player passes, they are typically out for the rest of that round. The round ends when three players have passed. The last player to play a card leads the next round with any valid combination. The game concludes when one player successfully plays all their cards.

1. Valid Card Sets and Their Rankings

Players can play the following card combinations. Some sets have special status and unique advantages.

♣ Single: One card
♣ Pair: Two cards of the same rank
♣ Triple: Three cards of the same rank
♣ Quadruple: Four cards of the same rank – a special card set
♣ Series: Three or more consecutive cards in rank (e.g., 5-6-7)
♣ Double Series: Six or more cards forming a sequence of consecutive pairs (e.g., 5-5-6-6-7-7) – also a special card set

Card Rank Order (Low to High):
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A, 2
The 2 (Deuce), also known as the "Pig", is the highest-ranking card.

Suit Order (Low to High):
Spade ♠, Club ♣, Diamond ♦, Heart ♥
When cards are of the same rank, the suit determines superiority.

Card sets of the same type are compared by their highest card.

2. Special Cutting Rules for Powerful Combinations

Certain special card sets can override high-ranking cards like the deuce:

• A Double Series of 6 cards (three consecutive pairs) can beat a single 2.
• A Quadruple can beat a Double Series of 6, a single 2, or a pair of 2s.
• A Double Series of 8 cards can beat a Quadruple, a Double Series of 6, a single 2, or a pair of 2s.

These rules add depth and surprise, letting players turn the tide with smart combinations.

3. Auto Win Conditions

Some hands are so powerful they result in an instant win—no gameplay needed. If a player is dealt one of these hands, they automatically win the round:

• Holding 6 pairs
• Holding all 4 deuces (2s)

These auto-win conditions reward lucky and strategic starts.
