Game Rules

4-player game using standard 52-card deck (13 cards per player).

All spades are trump cards (must be called as trump).

Objective

Predict your hand wins before play begins and fulfill your bid.

Bidding Phase

Starting right of dealer, players declare their hand predictions recorded on the scoreboard.

Gameplay

  1. Lead player plays any card
  2. Subsequent players must follow suit if possible
  3. If unable to follow suit, may play trump or any card

Scoring System

  • Successful bids: 10×bid + (actual−bid) points
  • Failed bids: −10×bid points
  • Nil bids: +50 (success) or −50 (failure)

The term "settling" refers to failing to meet your committed bid.
