Understanding Killer Sudoku

The game board consists of dotted-line polygons known as “cages.” Most cages display a number in the top-left corner, which represents the sum of all digits inside that cage.

Core Rules:

1. The sum of digits in a cage equals the number shown in its top-left corner.
2. Each digit in a cage must be unique—no repeats.
3. If a cage has no sum, only the uniqueness rule (rule 2) applies.
