The tabletop miniatures trend, which many thought peaked in the 1980s, is now more popular than ever with games like Warhammer. However, they are not the only options, as shown by Ludus: Merge Arena's new crossover collaboration with the miniatures franchise Warcrow.
Warcrow, developed by Corvus Belli, is set in the fantasy realm of Lindwurm. It offers classic fantasy gameplay where you command warriors, wizards, and various creatures. The recent expansion, The Song of the Dormant, introduces two new factions: Feudom and the Scions of Yaldabaoth (a challenging name to say quickly).
The Astral Rift event in Ludus features Verena of Aurtigard, the High Priestess (available as a reward), and Uruk, the Mage and Warrior (available via special purchase). Running from September 25th to October 16th, you will collect various currencies and unlock special rewards. Be sure to check our Ludus promo codes list for preparation.
Crows Over War
The Astral Rift is a recurring PvP event in Ludus where you earn either Compasses or Spheres. Compasses unlock rewards, including legendary heroes like Ludusman or Alas, while Spheres progress you along the Astral Pass, granting various bonuses.
While these events typically last only five days, the current crossover collaboration extends this Astral Rift for a longer duration. This gives you a better chance to secure top rewards, provided you are Arena 3 or higher. Also, keep an eye on social media for Warcrow giveaways, including game boxes and more.
It is not unprecedented for a miniature game to transition to mobile. However, given the success of Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus (for which we have a tier list), it would not be surprising to see this occur more often.
