Rules of the game Svara (Svarka)

Svara (Svarka) is a card game played with a standard 32-card deck, ranging from 7 to Ace. The game requires a minimum of two players, and the total number of possible card combinations is 4,960.

Rules

Each player is dealt three cards in a clockwise direction. Every card combination holds a specific numerical value, and the player with the highest total points wins.

Points are calculated according to the following rules:

1. Cards from 7 to 9 are worth their face value (7 to 9 points).
2. Tens, Jacks, Queens, and Kings are each worth 10 points.
3. Aces are worth 11 points.
4. Cards of the same suit are summed together. For example: Q♦, K♦, and 10♠ equal 20 points, while 10♠, 8♠, and K♥ equal 18 points.
5. Aces can be combined regardless of suit: two Aces equal 22 points, and three Aces equal 33 points.
6. The 7♣ is known as "Ceco Jonchev," "Chechak," "Chotora," "Shpoka," or "Yoncho." It can be combined with any other card for 11 points.
7. Three 7s are worth 34 points, making this the strongest combination in the game.
8. Three of a kind combinations are worth the value of the lead card multiplied by three. For example, three 8s equal 24 points (3 x 8), and three Queens equal 30 points (3 x 10).

Examples

• 7♥, 9♦, 9♣: Total of 9 points (the lowest possible hand).
• 10♠, 10♦, 10♣: Total of 30 points.
• 8♣, K♥, 9♦: Total of 10 points.
• K♥, 9♥, Q♣: Total of 19 points.
• Q♣, Q♥, 9♦: Total of 10 points.
• A♠, A♦, 10♣: Total of 22 points.
• 8♠, A♦, 7♣: Total of 22 points.
• 10♦, 9♦, J♦: Total of 29 points.
• Q♣, Q♥, Q♦: Total of 30 points.
• 7♣, K♥, K♦: Total of 31 points.
• 7♣, A♥, A♦: Total of 33 points.
• Two 7s of different suits: Total of 23 points.

Betting

1. Before cards are dealt, each player places a mandatory bet called the "ante."
2. The player to the left of the dealer makes the first announcement. Before viewing their cards, this player may place a "blind bet."
3. If a player places a blind bet, the next player to their left may choose to double that blind bet.
4. If a player skips the blind bet, the next player is not permitted to place a new blind bet.

(Blind bets are optional)

5. After cards are dealt, players proceed with their betting rounds.
6. If a blind bet exists, the next player must at least double that bet.
7. If the player who made the blind bet wishes to see other players' cards, they must pay the current bet amount.
8. If a blind bet is made but no one calls it, the player who placed the last blind bet wins.
9. The player with the highest point total wins the round.
10. If there is no blind bet and no other bets are made, the dealer wins.
11. If two or more players tie with the same number of points, a "Svara" is declared.
12. A Svara initiates a new game round that includes all bets from the previous round.
13. Any player may join a Svara by paying the required Svara join amount.
