A delightful new game, Cato: Buttered Cat, is launching on Android soon! The name's a clever blend of "cat" and "toast," reflecting the game's unique premise: what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The answer, as you'll soon discover, involves endless, gravity-defying spins!
Originally created for the 2022 BOOOM Gamejam by Team Woll, the game's positive reception led to its full development. Currently available on Steam for PC, Cato: Buttered Cat is headed to Android and other platforms shortly. While the Google Play Store listing isn't live yet, you can pre-register on the official TapTap page for the Android version.
Gameplay:
Cato: Buttered Cat is a puzzle platformer where you control both a cat and a piece of buttered toast. Work together to solve puzzles, battle enemies, and explore five whimsical worlds spanning 200 levels, including side quests. Uncover a hidden narrative woven throughout the gameplay, and collect 30 unique outfits for your feline companion.
The cat boasts typical feline agility, while the toast acts as a controllable projectile, allowing you to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. The game is packed with hidden rooms, Easter eggs, and quirky contraptions.
