Clash of Clans is set for a massive overhaul in March 2025, addressing long-standing player requests with one of the most significant updates in the game's history. Many familiar features are being retired to make way for a streamlined experience.
No More Troop, Spell, or Siege Machine Training Times!
Prepare for non-stop action! The update eliminates troop, spell, and siege machine training times, allowing for back-to-back attacks and significantly faster-paced battles. Hero recovery time is also a thing of the past, ensuring your heroes remain constantly in the fight. This change applies to Titan League and below; the Legend League retains its eight-battle daily limit for now. This move is part of Supercell's ongoing effort to remove outdated mechanics, following the removal of training costs in 2022. By eliminating training times, players can enjoy uninterrupted gameplay without artificial limitations.
Adjustments to Accompany the Changes
With the removal of training times, Training Potions and Training Treats become obsolete. These items will be phased out, removed from in-app purchase bundles, and any remaining potions and treats in player inventories will be converted into Gems.
Introducing the New Match Anytime System!
To ensure continuous gameplay, a new Match Anytime system is being introduced. When real bases are unavailable, this system allows players to attack snapshot bases – saved versions of real player bases currently under Shield. These battles function identically to normal attacks, with loot and trophy gains for the attacker, but no losses for the defender. This system, already in use for Clan Wars and Legend League attacks, is now expanding to multiplayer battles.
Further Tweaks and Improvements
To balance the increased battle frequency, the number of trophies awarded per victory is being adjusted. Additionally, Clan Castle request timers are being standardized to 10 minutes for all players.
