The stars of Disney's Frozen franchise are set to receive a massive $60 million paycheck to return for both Frozen 3 and Frozen 4.

Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Idina Menzel, who voice Princess Anna, Olaf, and Queen Elsa, will each earn one of the largest sums in animated film history.

According to The Wrap, the compensation includes an upfront payment as well as additional bonuses linked to the box office performance of each sequel. (Disney has declined to comment.) The reported $60 million figure for each of the three lead actors has drawn attention, as it significantly surpasses the $15 million each received for Frozen 2.

Disney has high expectations for Frozen 3, building on the tremendous success of the first two films. The original Frozen grossed $1.28 billion in 2013, a record later exceeded by Frozen 2's $1.45 billion global haul in 2019.

While Disney has not revealed specific plot details for Frozen 3, it has hinted that the story is expansive enough to span two films — with Frozen 4 intended to conclude the narrative. Many fans are eager to see Elsa find a romantic partner in the third installment, and there is also anticipation around Anna and Kristoff's marriage.

"After Frozen 2, we were left with several unanswered questions — quite a few, in fact," writer and director Jennifer Lee hinted at last year's D23 Expo, where she shared the first concept art. "Now you understand why we need two movies to tell this story."

The concept image shows Elsa and Anna riding through a forest, with Olaf sitting behind Anna on her horse. In the background, a floating city appears in the sky, seemingly their destination. A mysterious horned figure holding a spear is also visible in silhouette.

Frozen 3 is scheduled for release on November 24, 2027 — still two years away.
