This guide details completing the "For Whom the Bell Tolls" quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This main quest follows "Wedding Crashers," where Hans faces execution in Trosky. Henry, spared execution to become a laborer, must save Hans before the bell tolls twelve times.
The Steps to Freedom
Sack Duty

Blacksmith's Boon

Fanka's Favor

Chamberlain's Conundrum
Screenshot by The EscapistSpeak to the ailing chamberlain. Persuading him to let you brew a Digestive Potion grants access to the surgeon's workshop. Otherwise, stealth is necessary.
Brewing the Cure
Screenshot by The EscapistIf stealth is required, acquire food from the kitchen to distract a guard. Locate the surgeon's workshop and craft a Fever Tonicum (and a Digestive Potion if you persuaded the chamberlain). Sufficient ingredients are in the workshop chest.
Thomas' Treatment
Screenshot by The EscapistDeliver the Digestive Potion to the chamberlain (if applicable) to gain access to Thomas. Alternatively, use stealth to reach Thomas' room, potentially distracting a guard with a pebble. Give Thomas' sister, Adele, the Fever Tonicum to trigger the quest's conclusion.
Successfully completing these steps before the bell tolls twelve times earns reputation. However, the quest outcome remains the same regardless of timing.
