Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta: Cross-Play Confirmed, Launching Next Week!

Capcom's recent showcase revealed exciting new details about Monster Hunter Wilds, including its upcoming open beta test! Prepare for new environments, monstrous encounters, and cross-platform play.

Open Beta Access:

The open beta launches next week, offering a taste of the action on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. PS Plus subscribers on PS5 enjoy early access starting October 28th, while other players can join the hunt from October 31st to November 3rd. Cross-play functionality is fully enabled throughout the beta period.

Pre-download begins October 27th (PS Plus members) and October 30th (all others). Ensure you have at least 18GB of free space.

Beta Content:

The open beta features character creation (progress carries over to the full game!), a story trial (tutorial and Chatacabra fight), and a challenging Doshaguma Hunt (supports multiplayer).

Rewards:

All beta participants receive exclusive in-game rewards, including a Palico pendant and an item pack (Mega Potions, Rations, etc.), available as DLC upon the full game's release on February 28, 2025.

New Trailer Reveals "Black Flame" and Oilwell Basin:

The latest trailer introduces the treacherous Oilwell Basin, a fiery locale home to new monsters like the Ajarakan and Rompopolo, and the fearsome apex predator, the Black Flame. We also get a glimpse of the skilled Azuz people and their connection to the Everforge.
