Which Nintendo Franchise Deserves a LEGO Set the Most in 2025?

Nintendo and LEGO have teamed up to produce fantastic LEGO Nintendo sets. Last year saw the release of the dynamic Mario and Yoshi set and the inaugural LEGO Legend of Zelda set. While these are excellent, the potential for LEGO sets based on other iconic Nintendo franchises remains largely untapped.

Currently, the selection leans heavily towards various Mario sets (including Donkey Kong) and a selection of Animal Crossing sets. This leaves many other beloved franchises underrepresented. As a combined LEGO and Nintendo enthusiast, I yearn for more options. To fellow fans, I pose the question: Which Nintendo franchise deserves the LEGO treatment next?

The recent Switch 2 announcement fuels anticipation for the next generation of Nintendo games and products. We can likely expect continued LEGO Nintendo collaborations, especially given Nintendo's investment in film (the new Mario movie and the upcoming live-action Zelda adaptation). Personally, I believe a Metroid line would be phenomenal. With Metroid Prime 4 on the horizon, the timing seems ideal for impressive LEGO builds. Additionally, I'd love to see official LEGO Pokémon sets, rather than the existing MEGA sets, though I acknowledge the licensing complexities between Mattel and The Pokémon Company.
