Dive into the competitive world of Pokémon Unite, a mobile and Nintendo Switch game boasting a thrilling online ranking system. Engage in solo and team battles with your favorite Pokémon, climbing the ranks to prove your mastery. This guide breaks down the Pokémon Unite rank system, explaining each tier and how to progress.
Pokémon Unite features six ranks, each subdivided into multiple classes for granular progression. Higher ranks naturally have more classes than lower ones. Crucially, rank progression only occurs through ranked matches—quick or standard matches won't affect your rank.
The Ranks of Pokémon Unite
- Beginner Rank (3 Classes)
- Great Rank (4 Classes)
- Expert Rank (5 Classes)
- Veteran Rank (5 Classes)
- Ultra Rank (5 Classes)
- Master Rank
Getting Started
To enter the ranked fray, you'll need Trainer Level 6, a Fair Play score of 80, and five Pokémon licenses. Once you meet these requirements, you'll begin your ranked journey in the Beginner Rank.
Performance Points and Diamond Points
Your climb is fueled by Performance Points (PP), earned in each ranked match. PP awards vary based on individual performance (5-15 points), sportsmanship (10 points), participation (10 points), and winning streaks (10-50 points). Each rank has a PP cap. Reaching this cap awards a Diamond Point (DP) per match, essential for rank advancement. Here's the PP cap per rank:
- Beginner Rank: 80 Points
- Great Rank: 120 Points
- Expert Rank: 200 Points
- Veteran Rank: 300 Points
- Ultra Rank: 400 Points
- Master Rank: N/A
Advancing and Rewards
Four Diamond Points upgrade your class within a rank. Maxing out your class within a rank propels you to the next rank's first class. You gain one DP per ranked match win and lose one per loss. Players with maxed PP also earn one DP per match.
Seasonal rewards include Aeos Tickets, awarded based on your final rank (higher ranks yield more tickets). These tickets are used in the Aeos Emporium for item and upgrade purchases. Specific ranks may also offer unique seasonal rewards.
So, sharpen your skills, strategize your team compositions, and battle your way to the top of the Pokémon Unite ranking system! Good luck, Trainer!
