Pokémon GO's May 2025 lineup promises to be action-packed. Trainers worldwide have plenty to look forward to, but the standout feature is undoubtedly the Lake Trio's triumphant return to 5-Star Raids across multiple regions.
What Does Pokémon GO Have in Store for May 2025?
The month kicks off with Tapu Fini dominating Five-Star raids from May 1st to May 12th. This Water/Fairy guardian comes packing its signature Nature's Madness attack—plus trainers get their first shot at encountering its shimmering Shiny variant.
Starting May 12th, the legendary Lake Trio spreads out globally with exclusive regional appearances: Uxie for Asia-Pacific travelers, Mesprit gracing Europe/Middle East/Africa/India, and Azelf patrolling the Americas and Greenland.
Once their raid stint ends, Tapu Bulu storms in from May 25th through June 3rd, also sporting Nature's Madness and rare Shiny potential.
Mega Raid enthusiasts aren't left out either—May serves up back-to-back heavyweight shifts: Mega Houndoom (May 1-12), Mega Gyarados (May 12-25), and Mega Altaria (May 25-June 3).
And Here Are the Details of All the Events
The "Growing Up" event runs May 2-7, followed by Mega Kangaskhan's exclusive Raid Day on May 3rd. "Crown Clash" dominates May 10-18 while Dynamax Suicune makes explosive appearances during the Max Battle Weekend (May 10-11).
A surprise Pokémon headlines Community Day on May 11th—Niantic's keeping this month's star under wraps for now. Subsequent highlights include "Crown Clash: Taken Over" (May 14-18), Shadow Raid Day's eerie encounters (May 17th), and the strategic "Final Strike: GO Battle Week" (May 21-27).
