Following its closed beta, Rainbow Six Siege X is slated for a full release in June 2025 on consoles and PC. Ubisoft calls this the biggest content update in Rainbow Six Siege history. The closed beta introduced Dual Front, a new 6v6 game mode.

Dual Front offers a larger-scale, more chaotic experience than existing modes. Larger maps demand strategic coordination between teammates to attack, defend, and complete objectives amidst intense enemy encounters. The Siege X update also promises revamped maps, a redesigned user interface, enhanced visuals, and a rebalanced matchmaking system designed to improve the experience for new players.

It also highlights rewards for existing players and free-to-play access for newcomers.

The Rainbow Six Siege X closed beta ran from March 13th to March 19th, initially available to select Twitch partners. Viewers of these streams had the chance to earn beta access codes. Players needed to link their Twitch and Ubisoft Connect accounts to participate. Interestingly, pre-existing ownership of Rainbow Six Siege wasn't required for beta access.

Ubisoft provided comprehensive details about the closed beta on their website. Currently, there are no announcements regarding further beta testing, including an open beta. In the meantime, Rainbow Six Siege is poised for its most ambitious evolution yet, ten years after its initial launch. Continuing Ubisoft's long-standing tradition of Tom Clancy-inspired titles, Siege X promises an exciting new chapter.
