Rockstar Releases Bully Anniversary Update After Six Years

Rockstar, the developers behind the iconic GTA series, have just released an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile devices. After a six-year hiatus, this update brings new life to the beloved game, exclusively for mobile users.

Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!

Bully: Anniversary Edition's latest update introduces new languages and focuses on enhancing stability and fixing bugs. Notably, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges to ensure a smoother experience.

The update also brings graphical enhancements, such as Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) for Android users with compatible devices. Additionally, the app icon has been refreshed, and haptic feedback has been added to improve immersion on both iOS and Android platforms.

Several mission-specific issues have been addressed. For example, in the mission 'That Bitch,' Mandy's locker can now be picked, resolving previous issues. 'Weed Killer' now progresses correctly even if you break the window prematurely, and 'The Rumble' no longer features police cars falling through the floor. The update also fixes scenarios where enemies wouldn't attack Jimmy, ensuring balanced combat. Crashes that occurred when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu have also been resolved.

What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?

While fans have been clamoring for Bully 2 for years, Rockstar's focus seems to be elsewhere. Reports suggest that a sequel was in development during the 2010s but was eventually shelved in favor of Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online. With GTA 6 on the horizon, the prospects for Bully 2 seem slim, especially given the departure of many original developers from Rockstar.

Although the new update isn't a full remaster or a sequel, it's a significant upgrade for mobile players. For those unfamiliar with Bully, it's Rockstar's unique take on a schoolyard sandbox game. You step into the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old navigating the challenges of Bullworth Academy, complete with Rockstar's signature humor and open-world antics.

You can now experience Bully: Anniversary Edition on the Google Play Store for €7.99, with full gamepad support for an enhanced gaming experience.
