To commemorate the anniversary, The Sims 1 and The Sims 2, including all their DLC, are now available on Steam and the EA store, individually or as a special Birthday Bundle. This marks a significant event for long-time fans, as these titles haven't been readily available for purchase for years. EA has addressed compatibility issues, ensuring these classics run smoothly on modern systems.
In-Game Celebrations for The Sims 4 and The Sims FreePlay
The Sims 4's "Blast From The Past" event introduces nostalgic items from earlier games. Over four weeks, players will receive new additions, including retro furniture, clothing, and décor. Meanwhile, The Sims FreePlay's Birthday Update takes players back to the early 2000s with new live events ("The One with the Coffee Shop" and "Reality Island"), a velour tracksuit, daily gifts, and a museum showcasing the Sims' history.
