What is a Stronghold in Minecraft?
A stronghold is an ancient, sprawling underground complex. Beyond its labyrinthine corridors, prison cells, libraries, and other intriguing areas lie valuable treasures and, most importantly, the portal to The End – the game's final boss encounter. 
Activating the portal requires the Eye of Ender (explained below). Finding a stronghold without assistance is practically impossible; the game provides a specific search mechanic, though less legitimate methods exist.
How to Find a Stronghold in Minecraft
Eye of Ender
This is the intended and most reliable method. Craft it using Blaze Powder (from Blaze rods dropped by Blazes) and Ender Pearls (obtained by killing Endermen, trading with villager priests, or finding them in stronghold chests). 
Throw the Eye of Ender; it will briefly fly in the direction of the nearest stronghold. Remember, each Eye is a consumable item. For survival mode, aim to gather around 30.
The Locate Command
For a less conventional approach (requiring cheats enabled), use the command: `/locate structure stronghold` (for version 1.20 and above).
This provides approximate coordinates. Teleport using `/tp
Stronghold Rooms
Library
Often hidden deep within the stronghold, libraries are spacious rooms filled with bookshelves and chests containing enchanted books and other valuable loot.
Prison
