With Version 5.5, Genshin Impact Is Finally Adding Controller Support for Android

Android users rejoice! Genshin Impact is finally getting controller support! The long-awaited feature arrives with Version 5.5, launching March 26th, 2025. This is great news, especially considering iOS users gained this functionality back in 2021.

Genshin Impact Controller Support on Android: Release Date

Starting March 26th, 2025, you can connect your Android device to a controller and enjoy Genshin Impact without relying solely on the touchscreen. The update will support four controllers: DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 (all requiring Bluetooth).

Version 5.5: More Than Just Controllers

Version 5.5 brings more than just controller support. Expect quality-of-life improvements like cross-scene quest tracking, allowing seamless navigation between quest areas via the map. Boss guides will also receive an update to better assist new players in understanding enemy mechanics. Further optimizations are planned for the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system; full details will be revealed during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th.
