In Ivy Road and Annapurna Interactive's Wanderstop, players manage a charming tea shop in a magical forest as Alta, a weary warrior finding solace in rest and rejuvenation. The shop attracts diverse customers with unique requests, including the unexpected: coffee. Here's how to unlock and brew this non-standard beverage.
Which Customers Crave Coffee in Wanderstop?
During Wanderstop's fourth cycle, a stylish avian customer requests tea. Following this, a trio of businessmen—Jerry, Larry, and Terry—arrive, briefcase-toting and bound for a crucial presentation. They politely decline tea, revealing their unwavering loyalty to coffee. Their persistence, even without coffee available, sets the stage for an unusual turn of events.
Boro, the shop's owner, confirms coffee's absence from the forest. Alta's frustration mounts until Zenith, an interdimensional being, arrives, captivated by the businessmen. Unlike the businessmen, Zenith agrees to try tea, leading to a pivotal moment. Their unfamiliarity with anything but coffee provides the key to unlocking a new ingredient.
Unlocking Coffee Beans in Wanderstop
Brew Zenith a cup of tea, infusing it with any valuable item—a book, trinket, plant, or even a photograph. After sampling, Zenith inquires about coffee, prompting Alta to mention "coffee beans." This revelation triggers Zenith to use the Infinite Path, introducing coffee beans to the forest. Instructions for harvesting and brewing are then added to Alta's Field Guide.
Harvesting and Brewing Coffee in Wanderstop
Coffee beans now grow wild, respawning randomly. Harvest them like other ingredients. Store them in your inventory or carry one at a time. They can also be placed on various surfaces.
Before brewing, clean the dirt-covered beans using the dishwasher. Once clean, brew them in the tea maker using one bean per cup (though additional beans or ingredients can be added). Follow the standard brewing process, and serve to your customers, Boro, or even yourself.
Providing coffee not only satisfies the businessmen but also delights Zenith and offers a new option for other customers, even the initially hesitant Boro.
That's how you unlock, harvest, and brew coffee in Wanderstop.
Wanderstop is available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam.
