Among Us 3D Release Updates
Coming May 6
Schell Games and Innersloth, the developers behind Among Us 3D, have officially announced that the game will launch on May 6, 2025. This announcement was shared on Among Us 3D's official Twitter (X) account on April 16.
Originally known as Among Us VR, the game has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to enhance its multiplayer experience with cross-play capabilities. Recently, the team introduced a new currency called Stardust, designed to never expire and offer players more purchasing flexibility.
Among Us 3D will come with exciting features such as a permanent Tag Mode, introducing the Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, new and returning mini-games, and a variety of new cosmetics.
It's important to note that Among Us 3D is distinct from the 2022 release of Among Us VR, and there will be no cross-play between the two. Schell Games' FAQs clarify that Among Us 3D is a completely different game, developed to provide quality updates to existing VR players while delivering a tailored experience for new PC players.
They stated, "Separating the versions during this development allowed/allows us to continue to bring quality updates to our Among Us VR beans while ensuring the highest quality and tailored experience for our new PC players."
Wishlist Campaign
Among Us 3D is currently available for wishlisting on Steam, accompanied by the Powered By Wishlists Challenge. Fans can unlock various in-game rewards by reaching specific wishlist milestones:
- 333,333 Wishlists - Unlock a New Hat
- 444,444 Wishlists - Another New Hat
- 555,555 Wishlists - A Cosmetic Surprise
- 777,777 Wishlists - Suspiciously New Exciting Cosmetic(s)
