Paramount Pictures has announced significant shifts in its movie release calendar, resulting in delays for two highly anticipated Nickelodeon films: The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2. These changes mean fans will have to wait months longer than initially planned to see these movies hit the big screen.

According to Variety, The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender will no longer premiere on January 30, 2026, but has been rescheduled for October 9, 2026. This delay pushes the release back nearly nine months, marking the second delay for this much-anticipated film, which was initially set for October 10, 2025. Paramount has also unveiled a new logo for the movie, which you can view below.

No specific reason was provided for the delay, but it's confirmed that voice actors Steven Yeun, Dave Bautista, and Eric Nam are still part of the project. The film, which focuses on the original Avatar protagonist many years after the series concluded, received its official title at last month's CinemaCon. It is the first of three planned movies set in the Avatar universe.

Additionally, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2 has also faced a delay. Announced shortly before the first film's premiere in 2023, the sequel was originally slated for October 9, 2026, but has now been postponed to September 17, 2027. This additional wait means fans will have to be patient to see how the story of Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo unfolds, especially after the intriguing mid-credits scene from the first movie. While plot and cast details remain undisclosed, fans can tide themselves over with the Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.
