Square Enix confirmed during Nintendo's July 2025 Partner Showcase that The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales will launch on Switch 2 in 2026. Following the showcase, a playable demo became available via the Nintendo eShop.
This HD-2D action RPG from the creators of Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default follows protagonist Elliot on an epic journey through Philabieldia - a continent ravaged by monstrous creatures. The Kingdom of Huther stands as humanity's final stronghold, protected by ancient magic known as the Spell of Safekeeping.
When mysterious ruins appear beyond the kingdom walls, Elliot and his fairy companion Faie embark on a perilous investigation. Their adventure spans millennia through the power of time travel.
The game features dynamic combat with seven distinct weapon types and customizable Magicite enhancements. Faie serves as more than just guide - she battles alongside Elliot with unique abilities. The game also supports two-player cooperative gameplay.
