Albion Online's Rogue Frontier Update: Smugglers, New Weapons, and More!
Sandbox Interactive's medieval fantasy MMORPG, Albion Online, is getting a major update – Rogue Frontier – on February 3rd. This first big update of the year introduces exciting new features and content.
Life in the Outlands
Rogue Frontier focuses on the Smugglers, rebels defying the Royal Continent's rules and establishing themselves in the Outlands. They operate from hidden underground bases known as Smuggler's Dens, which serve as crucial hubs for banking, repairs, and expedition planning. These dens are interconnected via the Smuggler's Network, a sophisticated marketplace system spanning the Outlands.
Players can actively participate in the Smugglers' ongoing conflict with the Royal Guards. Assist the Smugglers by rescuing captured members or delivering contraband within Smuggler Crates.
Rewards for Loyalty
Show your allegiance to the Smugglers and earn rewards from Maggy Slade, a mysterious trader residing in the dens. Obtain the Smuggler's Vanity Set, a Smuggler's Cape (with a potion cooldown reduction ability), a Smuggler's Ring, and a unique Avatar.
New additions include Kill Trophies, awarded for defeating other players. The better the defeated player's loot, the higher the chance of obtaining a trophy.
The update also introduces stylish new weapons:
- Rotcaller Staff: Summons a mist that repels enemies.
- Skystrider Bow: Allows levitation and ranged attacks from above.
- Forcepulse Bracers: Unleashes shockwaves during dashes.
