Excitement is building for fans of the Alien franchise as Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part One is set to receive a significant upgrade. The new version, dubbed Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part One: Evolved Edition, will launch on PC and PlayStation 5 on September 30, 2025. This edition promises "even deadlier Xenomorphs and enhanced visuals," and the best part is, you won't need a VR headset to dive into the action. Starting today, gamers can wishlist this non-VR edition on Steam and PlayStation.
The original game, which introduced players to the chilling world of Alien in VR, was released for PlayStation VR2 and PCVR via Steam in December 2024, followed by a Meta Quest 3 release in February. Developed and published by Survios, the Evolved Edition will be available in a standard edition for $29.99 and a Digital Deluxe edition for $39.99.
Set in the timeline between the iconic films Alien and Aliens, Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part One invites players on a gripping mission to the planet Purdan (LV-354). The narrative follows protagonist Zula and her Synthetic companion, Davis 01, as they search for a former squadmate. Their journey takes a terrifying turn when they find themselves trapped in Gemini Exoplanet Solutions’ eerie research facility, Castor’s Cradle, facing relentless Xenomorphs and uncovering deep mysteries.
IGN's review of the VR version awarded it a 7/10, praising it as "a compelling first crack at bringing Alien to VR with lots of room to grow." Fans eager to see what the Evolved Edition has in store can catch a brand-new look at the game during IGN Live next month, where the development team will showcase its latest enhancements.
