Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for the Sweet Discoveries event, a delightful occasion that marks the debut of the charming Applin. If you're passionate about expanding your Pokémon collection or hunting for rare shinies, this event is not to be missed. Dive in to learn everything about this exciting event.
When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and continues until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. The highlight of the event is undoubtedly the debut of Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region.
To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. Alternatively, for Appletun, the same 200 candies are required along with 20 Sweet Apples. For its final evolution into Hydrapple via Dipplin, you'll need to follow a specific evolution path.
Tart and Sweet Apples, essential for evolution, will appear in the wild during the event. Tapping on them might reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of encountering these Apples increase when using Mossy Lure Modules.
Did You Know?
Applin spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself from its natural predators, bird Pokémon, by masquerading as mere fruit. It's undeniably one of the cutest Pokémon in the entire Pokémon GO lineup.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, new avatar items will be available in the shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. Event bonuses include 2× Candy for catching Pokémon, making it easier to gather those necessary evolution resources.
There's an increased chance of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild, and you'll have better odds of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs. Additionally, catching Delibird or Skwovet during the event will reward you with berries.
Don't miss out on this sweet event. Make sure to download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store if you haven't already and start your journey to discover Applin and more!
