Ubisoft's new Assassin's Creed Shadows trailer showcases enhanced PC features. The trailer highlights support for upscaling technologies like DLSS 3.7, FSR 3.1, and XeSS 2, ultra-wide monitor compatibility, ray tracing (RTGI and RT Reflections), and extensive settings optimized for lower-end hardware. A built-in benchmark tool is also included for performance testing.
Minimum specifications for 1080p/30 FPS gameplay include an Intel Core i7 8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, and an NVIDIA GTX 1070 (8GB) or AMD RX 5700 (8GB) GPU. High-end requirements for 4K/60 FPS with ultra settings and ray tracing demand an Intel Core i7 13700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, and an RTX 4090 (24GB) graphics card.
Ubisoft partnered with Intel for optimization, promising strong performance on Intel processors. Post-launch assessments will determine AMD system performance. The developers aim to address stuttering issues prevalent in previous Assassin's Creed titles; Mirage's performance improvements over Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla offer hope for smoother gameplay.
Assassin's Creed Shadows launches on March 20th for PC and consoles.
