HoYoVerse's parent company, MiHoYo, is keeping busy! Their upcoming game, previously known as Astaweave Haven, has a new name: Petit Planet. Even before a proper reveal, the game is undergoing significant changes.
If you're a fan of gacha games or RPGs, you may have already heard of Astaweave Haven. However, official details from MiHoYo have been scarce. Early indications suggest a departure from HoYoVerse's usual open-world gacha formula. Instead of another gacha RPG, Petit Planet appears to be leaning towards a life-simulation or management game, similar to Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley.
The name change itself is intriguing. "Petit Planet" evokes a charming, gentler tone, subtly hinting at the management sim genre rather than a typical MiHoYo gacha RPG.
Release Date?
The game's release remains unannounced. While Astaweave Haven received Chinese approval for PC and mobile in July, HoYoVerse registered Petit Planet in the U.S. and U.K. on October 31st, awaiting approval in those regions.
Given MiHoYo's rapid release schedule (consider the quick turnaround between Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero), we can hope for a swift approval process followed by a sneak peek at Petit Planet's gameplay.
