Your first encounter with Bouldy is during the "Secret Ledger" quest. Navigate the cave (remember to register at the teleport!), and you'll find Bouldy at its end.

The key is timing: attack Bouldy's stomach only when it glows pink. This usually occurs after it uses attacks like throwing rocks or emitting a dark beam. Aim for about six hits on the pink stomach while skillfully dodging its attacks.

Dodging is simple: run, jump, and avoid the purple circular zones that appear on the ground. Stepping in them inflicts damage. Conserve your health; unlike normal gameplay, your health doesn't regenerate during the boss fight.
