China has approved the release of the Genshin Impact, GTA and ZZZ hybrid

Ananta, formerly known as Project Mugen, is poised for a full launch, having recently revealed its title and garnering significant attention. Early promotional material showcases a unique blend of popular game elements, incorporating aspects reminiscent of Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and even Grand Theft Auto, all presented within a captivating anime aesthetic.

Approved for release in China, Ananta is slated for a 2025 launch across PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile platforms. A December 5th trailer unveiled Ananta as an open-world urban RPG where players assume the role of an A.C.D. agent in the sun-kissed coastal city of Nova, a location ripe with mystery and exploration.

This ambitious, large-scale undertaking is a collaborative effort between NetEase Studios, Thunder Fire Studio, and Naked Rain. The developers highlight the game's global appeal, citing its familiar yet supernatural environments as a key draw.

Key features of Ananta include four-player team-based battles, a distinctive art style, and fluid, high-speed movement.
