End of the Road for DanChro - Service Terminates September 29th
The mobile RPG adventure Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Battle Chronicle (DanChro) will sunset its services this September, marking exactly two years since its worldwide release. Game directors announced today that maintaining the quality standards players deserve has become challenging, leading to this difficult decision.
Final Festivities and Countdown Begins
Before shutting down completely, DanChro will celebrate one last hurrah with its Second Anniversary event launching July 30th. This farewell update brings a brand-new original story written by franchise creator Fujino Omori himself. Players should note that maintenance on the 30th will mark the last opportunity to purchase Selas - the game's premium currency.

The gaming landscape has become increasingly competitive, with titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail dominating the market. While DanChro enjoyed a strong start with over 3 million downloads following its 2023 launch, many mid-tier gacha games now struggle to maintain their player bases without distinctive features or bold innovations.
Race Against the Clock
Players have until September 29th to:
- Participate in the anniversary celebration
- Complete any remaining events
- Use up any remaining Selas
The team will continue running scheduled events as planned until the shutdown date. Customer support services will remain available until the final curtain call at the end of September.
