Deltarune Switch 2 Features
Deltarune's upcoming Switch 2 version, announced during the latest Nintendo Direct on April 2, will include chapters 3 and 4 along with some unique features tailored for the next-gen console.
As revealed in a Fangamer newsletter by Deltarune's creator Toby Fox, the Switch 2 version will feature a special room that leverages the mouse functionality of the new Joy-Cons. Fox explained, "So, we made a very small SPECIAL ROOM which takes advantage of using MOUSE CONTROLS ON TWO CONTROLLERS AT ONCE, only possible on the Nintendo Switch 2!!"
For players using other devices, this special room will still be accessible but with an alternative control scheme. Moreover, players can transfer their save files from the Nintendo Switch demo of Deltarune 1 and 2 to the new version, ensuring a seamless gaming experience.
Deltarune Future Chapters Will Be Free
In the newsletter, Fox disclosed that Deltarune will be priced at $24.99. This price includes Chapters 1 and 2, plus the newly released Chapters 3 and 4. Initially, Chapter 1 was released in 2018 and Chapter 2 in 2021, both available for free. While it was previously stated that Chapters 3-5 would be paid, Fox has now announced that all future chapters will be added as free updates. He expressed, "But, it's my hope that as we complete more Chapters, you'll feel like this game was a super super super super good deal."
The game's soundtrack will also be available on Steam for $14.99. Chapters 3 and 4 will introduce over 150 new songs, with additional tracks from future chapters added for free. Deltarune aims to provide fans with exceptional value by offering future chapters and content at no extra cost.
