Diablo 4 Latest Updates
Infinite Damage Build Boss Powers Makes Servers Lag
In Diablo 4's latest season, players have uncovered a powerful infinite damage build that leverages new seasonal boss powers, resulting in server slowdowns. A video by YouTuber Macrobioboi, released on May 9, demonstrates this formidable setup in action, clearing rooms of enemies with ease using specific boss powers and a Legendary Aspect.
To execute this build, players must equip the Vampiric Curse Legendary Aspect, which inflicts a permanent Vulnerable status on enemies, boosting damage output. The Flesh Reaper's Disruption boss power, meant to stun and remove Vulnerable, instead continuously stuns due to the Vampiric Curse's effect. Adding Varshan's Life Steal boss power, which amplifies damage with each boss power activation, completes the build.
The combination leads to an overwhelming number of calculations, causing noticeable server lag. As shown in a video by wudijo, the screen becomes flooded with skills and abilities, leaving enemies perpetually stunned. Wudijo noted, "There are a lot of calculations going on, it's very understandable that this is a laggy build."
Blizzard Entertainment has yet to address this resource-heavy build, allowing players to continue exploiting it at the cost of game performance.
Worrying Prices with Berserk Collab
Diablo 4 has launched an exciting collaboration with the iconic manga Berserk, introducing unique Berserk-themed cosmetics and items. However, the high cost of these items has sparked concern among fans.
While some cosmetics can be earned in-game through Behelits and the free Berserk Reliquary, the premium sets come with a steep price tag. Available free rewards include:
- Hawks Destiny Back Trophy
- Skull Knight’s Heraldry Mount Armor
- Brand of Sacrifice Marking
- Foretold Eclipse Headstone
- Od of the Berserker Emblem
The premium offerings, which require Diablo 4’s premium currency, Platinum, include:
- The Berserker Armor, Barbarian - 2,800 Platinum
- The Hawk of Light, Rogue - 2,800 Platinum
- The Struggler, Rogue - 2,800 Platinum
- The Skull Knight, Necromancer - 2,800 Platinum
- The Schnoz, Pet Bundle - 2,800 Platinum
- Warhorse of the Hawk, Mount and Mount Armor - 2,500 Platinum
Each premium skin costs approximately $28, nearly half the price of the base game. The complete set would set players back $150, equivalent to a 15,000 Platinum bundle with an additional 3,500 Platinum.
This pricing strategy aligns with Diablo 4's previous collaboration with World of Warcraft, suggesting a trend that might continue with future IPs. Despite the high-quality of the Berserk sets, the cost is causing hesitation among fans.
