Only the standard edition is currently available, but it includes the complete game. Note that Amazon pre-orders for recent Switch releases have been absent; expect to find it at launch.

What is Donkey Kong Country Returns HD?

This isn't the first re-release for Donkey Kong Country Returns. Following its 2010 Wii debut, Nintendo ported it to the 3DS in 2013, adding eight exclusive levels. This HD version includes all original Wii levels plus the bonus 3DS content.

The game is notoriously challenging. This release retains the original difficulty, but also offers an easier mode (from the 3DS version) with extra hearts and assistance.

Expect classic platforming action: leaping across gaps, swinging from vines, barrel blasting, banana collecting, and more. Two-player couch co-op is available once Diddy Kong joins the adventure.
